Who Are You?

How do you step into who you really are? I still get stuck in my roles, mother, wife, teacher, practitioner, et cetera. I know we can be present and still be all of those things by getting more empty, but I feel like I’m stuck in the middle. How do I give to self when I don’t even know who self is?

But the thing is, I don’t understand why you’re trying to work out who self is. When you  have been in the silence, when you have been in the place of no thought, when you have been in the place of connection to source to God in that stillness, and that is you, people keep trying to define who they are in that no thought, no emotion, connection to God’s face. There is no words there or there are no words there. And trying to define yourself in that place of no self, you’re never going to work that out. The thing is, you are not a mother, you are not a teacher, you are not a yoga instructor. You are none of those things. You are just being the sense of self who is doing that task, but you are not that thing. So it’s in a sense, you are just in your role as a mother.

That is not who you are, it is just you making the sandwich for the child  in a state of presence. So you are not a teacher. You are just giving the words, the instructions for someone to be able to do a pose. But it comes from the essence of self, from who you are in that spaciousness, that consciousness, that’s who you are. You can’t use words to be able to describe that. And if you try to go back, I don’t know who I am, then you’re basically saying that I don’t realize that I’m connected to source and that I am consciousness, that I am the silent, the space, this beauty, I sit in that space of nothingness within that moment where nothing goes on, where you have no breath, there are no words, but that is you. So in everyday life, when you do the task of the person, you’re just doing the task. You are just doing the thing in order to do something during the day. But you are not that name of that thing. You are not Heidi, because Heidi is just the word for the vessel that is doing the action.

You are the state of presence that in that moment of nothingness has none of these things that has no demands, that has no wishes, that is just in that space of pure nothingness. So it’s not about seeking self, it’s not about defining anything. It’s not being able to write down the words to go, I don’t know who I am, because you do know who you are, but you’re trying to define it and you can’t put it in a box.

To take that state of nothingness into everyday life is the challenge. I guess that’s where the calm or empty layers help. Absolutely,

Absolutely. Everything is going to be a challenge when your layers are full, where they’re responding to the moment, they are damaging, the way that you perceive the next moment, they’re tainting it. Because if your layers were not full of life moments, or even there could be two or three, and I’ve talked about this before. As you become more empty, those life moments in the layers, and there could be two, could be far louder than the life moments that you had in the layers when you first started because there’s so much mud and there’s so many life moments. But as you become more empty, we feel more of an overwhelm because they’re like two life moments in the layers that are literally screaming and you can’t find them, and it becomes  an overwhelm. And then everything just makes you so irritable because there may be two life moments and the layers, and then you don’t know who you are anymore. You’re just caught up in the overwhelm. Then you get frustrated. And I don’t want to be that. I don’t want to be this, I don’t worry that, but you are not any of those. You’re actually the calmness. You’re in the state of consciousness that is so utterly pure and vast. That’s who you are.

Taking the first tender steps on the spiritual path

Taking the first tender steps on the spiritual path

There’s a quiet place in each of us, where the essence of our being resides. It’s a sacred sanctum that holds our hopes, dreams, and the true nature of our self. This tranquil inner space is always there, waiting for us to step in and explore.
Imagine a serene nature path; its beauty is in its simplicity and peacefulness. It’s surrounded by lush greenery and budding flowers, each bud a promise of growth, of life unfurling in its own sweet time. A butterfly flutters near, its delicate wings the epitome of transformation and self-discovery. This path is more than just a trail; it’s a gentle invitation to step into a journey, a journey towards the calm, radiant horizon where the unknown awaits to be known.
As you take the first tender steps on this path, there’s a soft whisper in the wind, a soothing murmur through the leaves. It’s a call to slow down, to breathe in the essence of life that’s all around and within you. With each step, the path unveils a little more of the landscape, just as each moment of self-reflection unveils a little more of your true self.
The journey is soft and gentle, much like the morning sun casting its warm, golden glow on the dew-kissed flowers. It’s a journey of self-exploration, of diving deep into the core of who you are and embracing it wholeheartedly. The path urges you to let go of the hustle of everyday life, to shed the layers of ought-to-be, and to delve into the beauty of being.
As you venture further, you find that this path is not solitary. There are others too, each on their own journey of self-discovery. Much like the butterfly that crosses your path, each individual you meet brings a unique colour, a different essence to your journey, enriching it in ways unimagined.
This path symbolizes more than just a physical trail; it’s a metaphor for the gentle journey of self-discovery each of us is on. It’s about nurturing the courage to step into the unknown to seek a deeper connection to self and Source. It’s about finding that serene clarity amidst daily chaos, which propels you toward a life filled with purpose, joy, and a profound sense of peace.
The path is always there, inviting, waiting. And as you step onto it, embracing the journey towards the calm, radiant horizon, you’re not just moving towards self-discovery; you’re coming home to yourself.

Create space and emptiness within you

Create space and emptiness within you

All things in our universe are constantly in motion, vibrating.

Even objects that appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating, oscillating, resonating, at various frequencies.

Resonance is a type of motion, characterized by oscillation between two states.

And ultimately all matter is just vibrations of various underlying fields. As such, at every scale, all of nature vibrates.

Something interesting happens when different vibrating things come together: They will often start, after a little while, to vibrate together at the same frequency. They “sync up,” sometimes in ways that can seem mysterious.

This is what occurs with humans. One person will affect the other.

That is why it is important to find a teacher with a high vibration and consciousness on your spiritual path.

As you come into their presence and start to vibrate higher, you will eventually vibrate in harmony or at the same frequency as your teacher.

This creates space and emptiness within you and offers an opportunity for profound growth and healing.

In the realm of higher consciousness

In the realm of higher consciousness

In the realm of higher consciousness, we often encounter the paradoxical idea that to become “full,” we must first become “empty.”

It sounds counterintuitive. And yet, there is profound truth to this concept. When we truly empty ourselves of preconceived notions, judgments, and mental chatter, what fills that space is an unadulterated experience of life as it is.

As we dwell in the state of deep presence, we begin to feel the boundaries of our physical selves blur and melt away.

No longer confined by the skin that houses our organs and bones, we enter a state of expansiveness that is both exhilarating and serene.

The body becomes less of a barrier and more of a conduit for the energy that is ever-present in the universe.

You feel lighter, as if you’re permeating through your surroundings and your surroundings are permeating through you.

It’s a divine exchange that goes beyond mere physicality—it’s a dance of energies, an intimate communion with existence itself.

In this state, the expansiveness you feel isn’t an expansion into emptiness; it’s an expansion into fullness—the fullness of life, of sensation, of experience.

It’s as if every cell in your body is coming alive, waking up from a long slumber to participate in the symphony of life.

Your perception sharpens, colours become more vivid, sounds more musical, and even the air you breathe seems to be imbued with a certain sweetness.

You are not just in the world; you are of the world. There is no separation; it all fades away, leaving only a unified field that you might call presence or higher consciousness.

The “you” that exists here is not the “you” with its wants, fears, and judgments. This is the “you” that is part of the eternal fabric of existence.

And so, in this state, you don’t just observe life; you feel it in your very bones. You don’t just see the light; you become it. Every moment becomes not just something to live through or record but something to savour, to revel in, to celebrate.

This is the gift of living in a state of deep presence and higher consciousness: the gift of truly being alive.

It’s not just a way of seeing the world but a way of being in it—a state of existence that is its own reward, inviting you to dive deeper, ever deeper, into the boundless ocean of now.
